Imo it's not very fine detailed. And the lowpoly shown in the video is already quite high res Point is the magic happens in the shader which is using the vertex color map just for masking. Imo it's nothing else as what level artists are using for years to blend materials.
I just installed 2.91 into my copy of Max 2009 at home, and it refuses to open the unwrap window for selected polies - only for objects. I have the same version of the script and max at work and it all works like magic, but no luck here. Any ideas?
Trying some light effects for the orb, I don't know what movie was that but I remember a scene with a magic orb that had like a storm inside. Maybe it was the wizard of Oz :/ Its just a particle effect from one of the guns of ut, tweaked a bit...
well she's rigged and poseable now, there are a few rigging errors but will be fixed before the final version. TIme to give her that magic staff I've been overlooking for the past few weeks and to look into proper lighting so I can finish her up.
Also adjust the size of her hands, and her weight balance as well as her arm muscles. Most likely still missing a lot of issues. I think she DOES look more HEROIC though. OMG, instant visual improvement. What is this magic.
I'm kind of busy these tme, anyway i try to Keep going on these project :) Colors: And first grey pass: There is a lot of work to do.... Im'wondering if blades of the sinister steel are real blades or kind of ghost blades? And what should be the Vfx ?smoke ? magic trails....
Utterly magical! The falling castle stuff would be really cool, if it was synched to the combat round time so when a time out occured, then the castle hits the ground at the same time, making it clear to the players that they better hurry up the killing before they slam into the ground!
I'd probably also go with spline IK if this is going to be baked to a joint system. Is it important to retain the volume or is this magically überstretchy? Will is shoot out quickly against a target or move slowly? Move more straight or wiggly? Fill us in on how you intend to animate this.
This is so beautiful. The color, this is my favorite "style" you'd say. It's like, magical and fantastic, makes me drown in my own thoughts. This is really, really awesome. I put this in my inspiration folder. Thanks for making it, and 10x more thanks for the informative tutorial.
Wow, it's been a long time since my last connection. XDSincerly, there is no magic way to do it. time past, i was using 3dCoat and do it by hand. Now, i could do it directly in zbursh also by hand with the zSphere topology tool or using a decimation workflow.
