Hello peeps, I'm trying to understand how to mimic the striation detail in the curling wood. I understand the sculpting to get the larger shapes but with the small intricate striations running through one another I'm wondering if it was hand sculpted or is it possibly using an alpha or an alpha in the surface noise. If it…
Just saw this speed sculpt, and the guy was able to display control handles for the move brush. How is this possible in zbrush? or did he use a plugin?
I am a solo game dev that has been building a gun store / gunsmithing simulator in Unreal Engine. I have blocked out the entire layout of the game world and I am still working on the code. What I lack is the skill to create the props, characters, and building art. Plus the hard part of the gunsmith portion, each weapon…
i had the misfortune to need to do this today (on a 2 year old version tbf) my approach for minimal rage is as follows import the resource to the current session for every change, do that again and use the new version of the resource (using the handy text field to give it unique tag) remember why you make a point of not…
Yeah shemagh's, are pretty handy for arid places but couldn't get my hands on one so had to make do with half a meter of military scrim. Does about the same job tho.
hey sure, external backup and all that. i do that kind of stuff in regular intervals with archives that get offloaded to bluray's but this here would just be to enable versioning of work files and provide a safety net for a sudden SSD failure in the machine, ruining the work day. would be fine if it just synced over to…

BUT (there is always a but on polycount) there are some things that need to be changed, looked at, learned from and pondered. Most of my crits are about the human player models. - Face detail, sort of a blank…
Yeah i like that one also, trying hard ova here to do something i guess just for myself now. I got volumetrics working on my end took a bit of configuring, all trial & error, still lots to do for my pleasure but for now at least its an update getting closer. and the better quality video on the folio post @ bottom of all…
I thought about designing a setting belonging to a faction of eco-technological Buddhists. "A floating city on a lake, woven together by canals, cultivated gardens and biotechnological temples in its surroundings. It is a place that blends antiquity with the future, commerce with harmonious coexistence with nature" Full…
@ stkopp, They look pretty cool. The track seems unnecessary though. Why do they need it? the cart has wheels. Couldn't they just roll it? wouldn't it roll back off the track at that angle? Maybe you could use those polys to give them a little more shape, some parts of them are looking pretty low poly atm (very straight…
