I started this project looking at the 1980's star trek series and seeing how I could translate that best into a skin. I decided to follow the path of making my content around the tops the crew wear. Focusing on the red. Phase 1 creating the cloth in red and grey. Phase 2 Basic coat of cream to match the interior of the…
I just updated to the latest version of bridge having not used it for a while. I've reconfigured my folder structure and installed the scripts from the resource zip. Shader imports are working fine, atlas imports are working fine but 90% of the time 3D models are met with the following errors. I did manage to import a…
Hello! I am currently following a tutorial from a Patreon artist I follow. He is using a tool called Soft/Harden Edges which is under Mesh Display. I am using Maya 2018 and I can only see it as Soften Edge or Harden Edge. The Soften Edge tool seems to soften it too much more so than in the tutorial. I know there is a…
Started my first low poly hand painted weapon project loosely following Tyson Murphy's 3D Motive tutorial. The concept is by Maxwell Davenport https://suburbbum.deviantart.com/art/Blades-01-360511203 In the tutorial Tyson stresses getting the proper values down first and I have very little experience painting in lighting.…
Hey guys! My general idea for this challenge is to have masses of gold and treasure surrounding the throne with it being set inside a large gothic cathedral type interior. There will be several layers of elevation building up to the throne which will tower above the rest of the room. I am looking to incorporate a lot of…
Hello there, I am new to the 3d game world as I've been doing concept art for years now, and was wondering if anyone could help me out! What would be the best approach to re-topologizing this model? I'm a bit unsure to how far the normal maps can follow extrusions so I was wondering if I should treat these as basic shapes…
Hello guys, I'm working on completing one of my first models ever and ran into a snag. My normal map looks horrendous and I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing wrong. This here is the picture of the high poly model. Here are the Low Poly and UV's I then proceeded to bake the High Poly suit with Xnormal, and got the following…
Yes, but that doesn't solve the problem with the normal map. Here is the result with and without normal map: As you can see, the second one looks much better. The only way I know to get this result with the normal map on, is that the uv clusters follow the angle of every slice or every slice be a different mesh.
Corpo-speak has been around for quite a while, LLMs only made it more accessible. So we see it everywhere now, accompanied by weird emoji listicles when it's a professional seeking work. It's text shaped in a way that should be more legible in principle but isn't in spirit because it's created by a hollow bot charging by…
