Everyone hates squats in the beginning! I've been lifting for years and man... to this day I will sometimes get a little anxious getting under the bar. I like the challenge, though. Life's filled with lots of difficulties, but there are few you can face directly like a loaded barbell - you lift it or you don't, there's no…
Hi, I want to recreate the sign and railing from this image in UE4. In Unity it's a simple render line function but I'm wondering if the effect of a single pixel line from any distance can be recreated in UE4? Thanks!
First off, you are one of the most passionate people I know when it comes to subjects like this and I love hearing your perspective on things. After getting to know you as much as I have, Ive come to realization that getting things like this out is your way of growing as an individual. I hope you can pull a little…
Currently working at one such place. More from happenstance than anything else - they're local, and I didn't actually start working here as an artist, I actually started in tech support several corporate buyouts ago, then went on to working as a tester, then did some design/configuration (database management) stuff, and…
I have been tempted in past taking a sabbatical and going to this school, it would be an amazing experience to do before you die. On a side note but in similar vein for anyone wanting a life experience. In 2005 I went with my wife to various martial arts schools around the world and also helped out at wild life environment…

He was a very talented musician, great drummer and bassist. Around here a good drummer is the hardest thing to find. Anyways, for some odd reason he wanted to move…
[ QUOTE ] Where do I advise people to go on a 500 calorie diet? Oh, I see, you didn't even bother to read the thread. I guess you are so smart you don't need to read what I type to know what it means eh? [/ QUOTE ] It was the first thing you said in this thread... Here, let me repeat it for you. [ QUOTE ] Seriously though…
I'm modelling a spiky scaled dragon and I'm going to retopo this later. Then it's going to be baked, textured and rendered to look as realistic as possible. With the retopoing, should I retopo the spike scales as well or can this all be done in displacement maps? Just not sure how detailed/complex the retopo has to be.
I'm not entirely sure if you're suggesting to attempt to salvage a project by appending the contents of a file that can't be opened? Sometimes it works, but when the RNA structure of the file is broken it'll likely fail and there's pretty much nothing you can do to salvage it other than relying on different backups. I have…
