Its saved as a TGA from photoshop. I also made sure to normalize my normal map just in case... I think it has something to do with my smoothing groups possibly, but idk...

sounds like the whole "pay to play" thing at most music venues, theres alot of push back against that aswell. idk this shit makes me really angry and not have the best outlook for the future of 3d art

Sorry for the double post but I thought I should mention that I opened up the .ma in a text editor to check for the #QNAN and #INF issue and didn't fine any instances of either, so that doesn't seem to be the problem...
