Hi world, I'm currently working on a couple characters for a sims like game for android/iphone, which involves customization of the characters clothing and accessories etc. My question is can anyone show the type of poly count & typology examples of clothing that help animation and performance. please share a few a words…

Hi there! I've recently taken a serious dive into the world of game development, trying to make my dream come true and make a game. I've been doing what I can, trying to learn skills to cover the holes that I can and hiring people for jobs that I can't do myself. Now I find myself at my first big technical issue that I…
It's got promise, I really like the idea and the premise. The texture is pretty good but I think you might have missed the mark on dumpy kid proportions in a few areas. His arms are really thin, they seem about half as thick as they should be without armor. They also seem pretty straight, tube like almost. It seems like…
Ok this is the last body update. I really want to start building her armor and clothing now. Does anybody know any good tutorials on that? I tried the mesh extraction method but didnt like the results, maybe I have to spend more time with that, but a tutorial for a thin-silk like cloth or so would be great...
I pushed the body to fit the concept a bit more, I also blocked in the clothes and snake. Now time to take them into zbrush. Thank you bonds0097 for the suggestions. I appreciate it. also the 6 pack was more for me to learn anatomy. I figured no one was going to see it once the clothes were on. I changed it though.
I bake it all separately for the most part. I had layers of clothing that were multiple mesh, and trying to bake them together caused some undesirable bakes. Which was a bummer, but I luckily I modeled some clothing pieces together in the low poly, so I had less mesh to bake with. Thanks for the input!
Progress so far! - -Clothing is baked onto Lowpoly and unwrapped -Body and Face is sculpted -Hair Ref is being built for Hair Card placement -And the cybernetic face piece is just getting started in dynamesh phase. I've began to texture my clothing now to take a break from all the sculpting and tedious baking/LP work.
Not sure if I would agree on Awfully Close, but similarities / covered areas sure are similar (that helmet is 50% mouth armor, ours is a veil of cloth). We actually based it off the Wicked Men (Mordor Humans) heads from Lord of the Rings (We liked the cloth + metal look they had and came up with a fitting one for PA)!
Great work so far! I have some crits: :) -I think her boobs looks weird because it is compressed underneath. Normaly cloth leave some space there. - Also her clothes are too symmetric. They are never like that. (But if you gonna use symmetric textures you could make folds less aparent)
