Most compatible graphics card for Maya 2008?
Hello, I've recently been having a few technical issues with Maya... http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=57896 I'm considering buying a new computer setup, therefore... Problem with seams? I just don't know!
Not sure if I am asking this in the right place but I am following along with a tutorial to learn UV mapping. I think I am having a problem with my seams and they don't map across properly between cuts like it does on the video but I don't know what I should be doing differently. Any help? -

Well, I hope to be going. Vivendi let me down and didn't get me a pass... so hopefully some friends from Sweeden will be able to help me. Right now I'm looking forward to seeing Gears of War, Quakewars, Halo3(?), C&C3, Too Human, Hellgate, Dead Rising and some actual PS3 stuff (not prerendered). -

Re: Getting the most out of channels
So does this mean when using DXT1, the green channel holds better detail than red and blue? We had this talk at our last studio, but I could never find a real answer. We just knew that some channels held less than others.
