The PS2 has always been a dog when it comes to Z-sorting alpha planes. I remember a coder explaining it to me one time. Basically it could be done, but required your engine to do some serious calculation, and that was a trade off - use the cycles to figure out the Z-depth of the alpha planes, or use it for something else… -

Cell isn't x86 compatible, it's PPC based RISC processor. Where as most modern desktop processors(well all of them) are x86 CISC based. nVidia is trying to bring ARM based CPU+GPU hybrid to the desktop markets in the near future, but the thing is - x86 isn't compatible, you'd need to have virtualization/emulation of x86 on… -

This has to to with the indexing of the curve. It seem every part is indexed separately but this is not relayed onto the Index node ( only one dimension 0..n an not somethign like (1..p, 1..n) ~~ (Part , PartIndex) ) so on splitting teh curve the index "restarts" of some kind but then it is not correctly interpreted… -

Why model the same tables, chairs etc, loosing production time that could be better used for other assets\optimization, when theres a pack that fits the art direction and is well made ? this is cycles, and the texture is just a simple white (the default color of the the diffuse node). Sorry i forgot to say this, but everything is at a default value, that's why this bothers me. Lights are not baked. The only light comes from an emissive shader that's part of the lamp. -
Fibershop - Any alternatives?
Hello, I am trying to streamline hair-cards in Blender and really want to use Fibershop to generate the textures. However when I go to the CGPal website, the website comes up as unsafe. Is it unsafe to download? Are there any good alternatives to Fibershop that work similarly? Thanks
