Hey PC, I'm having some issues with my modular scene having some really bad seam issues. I'm honestly not sure what is causing it and I'm not a pro at UDK, so I'm hoping you guys can help. The modular pieces seem to be tiling just fine in max, but when I get them in UDK, the lighting or something is chewing up the seams…
Hello all :) Just figured that I would share a little art test I started this weekend- lots of points for improvement, most especially the transparency on the window (if anyone has any cool ways of doing glass I would appreciate!) I'm going to create a cubemap to get a nice reflection going on the floor. It's just a little…
Does anyone know how to imitate this point light map bake from this tutorial? http://polycount.com/discussion/101248/dota-2-art-guide-baking-a-gradient-mask
Hi! I'm preparing a modular assets and level made with them in UE4. After baking I'm having such issues with baked light on the edges. Is it a matter of baking settings, UV or smoothing group?
Looking forward to achieve this but stuck with lighting. Need help with that. This is what i need to achieve. This is what i got. Just a beginner and need to improve my skills. All comments are welcomed.
Hi, it's me again. I would like to know if I can activate the "detail lighting" (Alt+5) but in-game. I'm trying to show my work for my portfolio. Thanks!
Hey guys, I am building an environment in unity 5, and I am having light leaking from the outside in. All the verts on this model are merged together. Any thoughts on how to fix this?
UPDATE: Okay so, I believe I know what the problem is. For some reason, the model for the hat is ungodly far away from the origin point when viewed by itself in the Model Viewer. However, if I try to move the model in Blender (the program I use) it moves away from the correct position on the Engineer's head. Does know of…
Ah, you have hidden your reply well :sunglasses: Fog cards I find they can help to elevate vistas, but to my knowledge shouldn't be layered too much due to the increased cost of the pixel on screen (Overdraw). Sample Projects I would follow the path Eric suggested. I haven't tried this one, but going by its description it…
Currently working on a hard surface modelling and lighting brief. I'm sort of happy with how it came out. (first attempt taking models into unreal 4) Attachment not found. Any tips would be great :)
