Best image filetype?
Hi guys, Sorry if this has been asked before. (I did a search on here and Google but couldn't find an answer. What's the correct filetype to use for game textures? From the searches I read, Targa was the one to use but it didn't really explain why. Could someone explain what the difference is between using that and jpeg? -
Whats the best place to get textures?
I already know about cgtextures, but are there any other great places like that to get good stock photos for textures? -

Um. So you have a bunch of modular pieces that share the same textures, and you want to add ambient occlusion to that? You... can't, generally. It'd be best to turn the AO on in your Beast lightmap bake settings, and let the AO get baked into your lightmap. If you want them baked into your diffuse texture or something, it… -
