I don't think Kickstarter has enough 0's for the amount of money you'd get for your art book, Nick ;) You should consider 3D printing that badass sculpt you made of those three characters a while back as an incentive for the highest bracket ;)
The true monster? :poly122: Looks good Dan, the only crit I have is that some of the details on the face seem a bit washed out. Like they were sculpted on a layer, then the opacity was turned down. I'd say just amp the details a little. Looks good otherwise.
I'm pretty much finished with the sculpt of the body. Up next is the boot, hat, hair, and watches. Also, some quick color schemes. I like all of them so I might actually make three different textures, each with one of these color schemes.
ZBrush is quite powerful but by no means necessary to create stunning pieces. But the good news is you don't have to go without a proper sculpting app since there is Sculptris it comes from Pixologic and it's FREE! It's pretty solid and provides almost anything that's needed to get you started.
It depends. It depends on how I want the model to work - is the model a free sculpt where I build the LRmesh afterwards, or am I constrained to reusing pre modelled, prerigged models. I'm unsure what errors would prevent you from baking though?
Hi polycount! I have decided to start this sketchbook thread to document my progress and get feedback from other artists. Please feel free to comment and critique my work. I would really appreciate it. Sculpt time-lapse:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LS_0Hhbbb4g&feature=youtu.be
Hello everyone! I wanted to share my recent project with you. I wanted to improve my modeling/texturing/ue4/foliage/younameit skills so I made this little fantasy environment diorama based on a concept by Ann Kondrat. It is basically all low poly modeling using trims and other textures. Rocks are obviously done using…
Okay, I'm going to start documenting a new scene I'll be working on here and there. The concept comes from the extremely talented Mr. Petter Lundh. I'll be using his awesome castle concept: My main aim for this scene is to have a large-scale environment. That is to say, on the scale of something you might find a a…
For rendering this you have a lot of options. You can render it as is in Zbrush, heres a pretty good tutorial I use: http://henningsanden.com/2013/05/11/zbrush-turntable/. You don't have to worry about the turntable part but you can go that far if you would like. You can just render a single shot that you want. Rendering a…
I'm with Ashervisalis on this. Your anatomy is low quality at the moment. The above suggestion to develop that aspect of your skillset is sound I think. Also more accurate and expressive material representation. You might try using Daz3D as a reference while practicing sculpting figures. Daz3D is free to use.
