So next steps for me are to figure out some background and composition, and either put in some basic colour, or try grey scale to figure out lighting. I haven’t done this illustrative style before so I’m pretty nervous about the lighting and colouring...
prob be during winter semester that i revisit putting new assets in as thats when i will be taking 3d modeling. I taught myself some with Maya and am nervous about taking this class as they are teaching softimage. What is others feelings of Maya vs Softimage?
wicked idea josh. so for the lotus challenge, i keep getting to 3rd by hammerhead on 2nd lap but i get so nervous that i get lightheaded and always end up tapping a cone or something. maybe ill draw a little map to help out

Yeah Jeffrey Jones is really an underrate artist IMO. He's had a nervous breakdown among other things later in his life so far and it's shame cause a lot of good art was probably never created. His art - http://www.ulster.net/~jonesart/paintings.html
Hi, first post (kinda nervous). Just a hay roll (?) and some (oldish) fences (they're missing their nails). They're basically ready for destruction (model wise). Maybe the other side should've been shown... Still WIP
That's cool that it still works after all these years, I would be a bit nervous about it becoming incompatible with newer versions. Bummer it still aligns to the smoothing normals, even with edit normals & break applied. I guess I'll have to try and script my own tool...
@Popol Is that the case even when it's not in email form? The Avalanche application requires a cover letter attached separately, with the portfolio. I'll chop it down for the email versions. @humblebee No work experience, which is why I'm extra nervous. I tried looking for who the hiring manager was, but no luck.
