agree with obersli, its going to be a lowpoly model right? so next time use floaters instead of cutting this stuff in your model

Can you not do the same thing with the pixel unit transform floater in TexTools? Just select all the islands and half the w or h.

they're outside of the cage, so the rays wont ever hit them, you're better off flattening those floaters down a bit.

it usually is triggered by the 3dsmax renderer and not something that can be accessed manually. If you can't see it maybe it is because it is covered by another floater or window?

Did you consider the selection floater ? Eats up screenspace, and you have to move your mouse of course. But updates and is always available.

go with floaters, would take no time at all to clean up the ao, and certainly less than you'd spend cutting it in and fiddling with edges

If you're using mudbox/zbrush then why are you using floaters? Just sculpt the details. Not sure what you mean by subdivision baking.
