this is a big project but I don't have any special method, just following the skull's forms and facial anatomy knowledge and artworks from professional artist in this field such as Alfons Kennis,Elisabeth daynes and John Gurche. and this my fir experience with facial reconstruction. thank you for your comment.
Dayme! Yeah, they definitely work well together. Really cohesive. I guess the only thing I'm hoping for is less symmetry on the trousers, but it's a minor quibble. I can already picture the final beauty shot. Here's hoping your texturing's as good as your high-poly skills. Then this'll be a keeper for sure.
Hi guys and girls, I'v been making a few game assets, im hoping to get them into dayz standalone if i can work out how. This is my first time 'successfully' making a low poly and baking down textures to it, they arent amazing, but I learned a lot doing it. will be adding more as I go,
Hey, I am a freelance hard surface artist looking for some off-site work. I worked on games like DayZ (standalone), Operation Black Mesa, Guard Duty and several other modifications. Uruks did of course exist, what didn't was the Uruk-hais (until Saruman created them). I like my LOTR lore but I also realize this is a game for another kind of audience. Still hoping that at some point I'll see a middle earth based game that's more walking simulator/dayz than button mashing power fantasy.
Day4 I didn't get a lot of time to work on my Art today, so I worked a little bit on the gauntlet and I did a 1 hour sculpt of a boxing glove. The boxing glove turned out really bad but I really enjoyed the challenge. I'll have to revisit the boxing glove another day. Maybe tomorrow ;)
You mean the triangular pieces with the two holes in them? Then yes. Sorry, I'm still learning the technical names for gun parts. This was all completely foreign to me before creating this model, aside from some terms I learned in DayZ. Anyway, working on the textures next. There's so many parts to this thing, I kinda wish…
I'm attempting a project for my portfolio of a post-apocalyptic environment after playing games such as 'State of decay' and 'DayZ'. My goal is to produce something quick and quite tightly budgeted in terms of triangle count. Here's some reference images I've based the project on: Concept by Aaron Wilkerson Here's what I…
Looks a lot better to me. Eyes might be rotated outward a tad too much now tho but maybe I'm just being too picky. Not sure if you have seen this, but its pure gold for info on creating realistic realtime renders: [ame] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAyx-C3O1Hc[/ame] At 52 minutes in they talk about eyes specifically.
