Mant, that would be this : http://blenderaddonlist.blogspot.fr/ As for other, smaller scripts, I found that it is usually just a matter of asking around on the BlenderArtists forums. Some people there follow everything very closely and will point you in the right direction.
xrg: that's exactly it. Nobody got around to it, but given the Blender Foundation's film focus and 'all-in-one-app' mentality, nobody's likely to. Someone in the community will have to pick it up, but I'm not sure there's much demand for it outside of people like us. Most blender users are just now getting used to ngons…
@frankie: you can already do it, although not the hard-coded way that these new matcaps are implemented: see this thread over at blenderartists: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?174790-ZBrush-matcap-in-Blender especially this post:…
thanks so much sophie! :) the custom blender build is here: https://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?370568-Custom-Build-Blender-pigeon-v2-79-(October-24th) and the feature that made the difference for me is "- Basic support for painting through mesh in vertex paint mode using 'Limit selection to visible' option in…

The tiny breaking free from blenderartists.org club! And that gives you, yet again, an insight into his mind, he didn't even understand what was so bad with what he said, he never even meant it in a bad way, he just has very bad abilities to handle himself on forums.
for paid ones.. maybe akeytsu will be in the near future there as a lowcost alternative !? when you would choose Max or Maya then keep in mind one of those tools will be the next to get the EOL death. EOL= end of life like Softimage recently got officially killed besides the fact it was an Industry tool. Blender has of…
https://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?405772-Polypaint-in-Blender!-Its-happening-D take a look here, it's still experimental but it seems to add lot of possibilities to vertex painting in Blender (mirror painting, performance etc.)
I found cool software which could be a good FREE alternative for Marmoset Toolbag 2 - after searching google i don't think it was mentioned before here on Polycount. Still in development, but at this moment it works great. It would be great to have refresh button for textures. https://github.com/dariomanesku/cmftStudio…
