I've been playing around with different mediums in different life drawing classes. 1st one to the left is just a 40 minute prisma color cool grey marker drawing, 2nd is a 40 minute digital color photoshop drawing from life. Y'know, traditional art classes are important....eh, whatever.
32 here, still have a long way to go but I rather end up working in a studio at age 40 then remain working in supermarkets for the next 30 or 40 years after that. I mean, thats a looooong time to be had for feeling bad about never doing the thing you want to do.

That Jack Kirby graphic is misleading, as if to suggest he only became an artist in his 40s. When in fact he started being pro when he was 19. Created Captain America with writer Joe Simon when he was 24. He was pretty accomplished and experienced as an artist long before he reached his 40s.
20-40 materials is (to use a technical term) fuck all - You have nothing to worry about. Assuming you're in Ue4 look at the stat console commands to see draw calls/frame times etc. Don't get too hung up on it though, if you've done a village with 20-40 materials you're probably doing it right

^would be great to see how those details hold up on a 256x256. Is there 40-50 disgruntled workshop artists down voting every new submission? I haven't submitted anything in ages but noticed that the first 30-40 votes were all negative when I added some stuff yesterday. Anyone else with a similar experience?
Hi Vig :) what does 'baking in the IK' means? I don't understand that... About the gaps, what do you mean by gaps between the planted keys? I also don't understand that.... My walk cycle was made with quaternion curves and auto-key :shifty: 40 frames > keys on frames 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40
For Movies only Mari, there is no competition. No other software can handle 40 patches of 8K textures. I work at MPC Film Division and our LOD A characters are about 30-40 patches of 8K textures. For LOD A+ assets like vehicles and trees have 100 or more 8K patches. Mari is the best software for multiple UV assets.
