Yes, in theory, instancing an object and then UV mapping it might work, but why not just model and UV it, then simply make a few copies? A copy of a UV mapped object in any 3D program I know of will retain UVs and materials.

The last two objects I imported into UDK disappear when I choose to play the level. Any idea why that is? I can place them in the world, but they disappear when I try to play the level. I've rebuilt lighting and geometry several times, I just don't know whats wrong.

In the latest version of max you can use one modifier on multiple objects but you can also join all the objects together, unrwap them, then split them apart again
I can't figure this one out. My objected is highlighted even though it is not selected. I've already tried Collapsing it with no luck. Can some one explain to me what I need to do...it's driving me crazy! lol Thanks
