Why do you think it's out of the question? If you have the available texture memory there's absolutely nothing stopping you from making a tree out of 10 uniquely baked textures or a rock out of five different baked textures. Again you're insisting that smaller texel size means more tiling and not bigger texture files. Why…
Thank you @sacboi for stopping by and commenting! Good to hear that, after working with the same model without another pair of eyes it's hard to keep track of where I go right and where wrong. Nevertheless, it's beginning to be ready for texturing... Which is my favorite part, to breathe life into the model! Just making a…
his face is looing pretty good, Id stop using the default red wax matcap though if i were you, for both of our sakes! it's harder to see what you're doing while sculpting using it, and it looks nasty in renders. you can get a tonne of free ones here if you don't have any good ones:…
What about stop being Zbrush-lazy and actually do it! It's been mentionned a few times already. It's just a matter of less sculpting and more modelling. Except!!!! If you have either mud1 or mud2010 (not 2009). With these guys you can pick a surface and have the flatten brush bring everything to it, making perfect sharp…
Stop making excuses and just learn it dude. It's a valuable tool for props and environment work, and could easily make the difference between you or someone else (who does know zbrush) getting a certain job. I've worked as a character artist, a prop artist, and an environment artist, and I've used zbrush in all three. It's…

The IDGA is a great place for networking with other development people. IronHawk Don't give up! Eventually you'll get your break! Just don't stop working on…
I think KDR's on the money here. I've been getting a few of these recently, fortunately not that many though. I've got constant updated antivirus and firewall, and I've run a number of different scanners and Ad-Aware - my computer is clean. I guess it's just spoofed stuff. A few months ago it wasn't unusual to get 200+…
Tearing usually means V-Sync is disabled. Graphics naturally tear and streak and V-Sync when enabled stops this from happening (at the cost of some frame rate loss - but worth it obviously). Go see if you can enable it in the nvidia control panel. If it is already enabled I'm not sure what the problem would be. Sorry I…
When your router starts disconnecting and reconnecting like crazy do you power cycle it (turn the power off for 1min then back on)? Does that improve your connection / stop the constant reconnect / disconnect? Wireless routers go all the time. I've had 4 in the last few years. The wireless radio inside goes first, and…
