There is a way in Wings3D. The circularise command. Just select the top and bottom edges, then press circularise and you have a circle. It can create circles from just about any edges that form a loop.
I have been looking for a quick and good way to model rebar. Any tips on how i should create those and how i can deform them along a spline, if possible.
hm guys, I want to create this kind off archway with holes in them. I thought I could use splines but I am not sure how to do it right.. especially with turbosmooth.
Thanks can you expand on that? the overhang is already a model by it self I have just set it on the tower. or are you talking about creating the small stones under as separate pieces and place them on?
Create a cube + spherify Edit it to get to the shape you want Start to extract geo to get the panels you want =) and rework them! Cause those are panels, seperated pieces . Easier to work with
I´m trying to create a perfecto hole in a cylinder, the worse part is when I have to align the vertex with the surface, this is the best that I´ve done so far. Any help please?
adding to what @Thanez already wrote. you can also simply use a less dense mesh and move these edges to create even space you can also see that i work on 1/4 of the mesh. so less headache
Update: I successfully created the shape I wanted, but because this will be duplicated many times over, it is too high poly for my PC to handle. Is there are more efficient way to make a tank track like this?
I'm having a hard time figuring out how to remove this pinch without adding any more loops how do i keep the round shape and create that net effect of the cut below?
I was able to do it by just chamfering. It would create a little bit of shearing if it weren't a floater though so it's not an end all solution. Just make it look like it merges and it should work fine.
