If you could wear out he edges on the spider tank, would really make it look like a tank...it looks more like a 'bot as bots tend to be clean and tanks tend to be in use more often. It's real nice though. The only other type of spider tank I saw before was the Harvester from Quake 4.
@maxivz, in regards to modeling tank, do you think its necessary to know the ins and outs of the tank to model it correctly? I keep referring to parts of your tank as "the barrel that shoots the bullets" "the part the barrel is connected to".
Hey guys, I've been working on this battle tank for a month and finally got it done today.I'm a Max user, this is my first time making complex models in Maya. Suffered a lot from groups, parent and duplicating instances... Lesson learned.. :) I dont think I gonna put more time on this tank no more, but feedbacks and crits…
Maybe it's just me, but from here the texture on those tanks reads more like oxidized copper than algae covered tanks. Might wanna grab some ref of algae on fish tanks and take a second pass at it.
