Theres some nice desings going on here! Thought i would contribute, wanted to make a weapon for necrolyte from dota 2 anyway so might as well design it myself. critique much appriciated!
Hey all, I know a bunch of you play LoL and for the next few days, Heroes of Newerth is gonna be $10. http://www.heroesofnewerth.com/ I play with a couple of friends and really dig it. If any are interested give it a go and add me as a friend, s/n: 'evilblah' It's just like Dota/LoL so lets get it going!
Whenever I import my items in dota workshop, the items are like 1/4th the size of original model. I keep the size equivalent to that of Valve reference files. I export as .fbx format with default settings. I'm pretty new with this stuff so any help would be appreciated.
Hey guys, I'm new here. I'm a concept artist and I look out for 3D modellers that are willing to collaborate with me for dota 2 items. If you are interested please contact me via e-mail ( alextilica@gmail.com ) or add me on steam ( Alextz91 ). For now, I did this concept of a weapon for Vengeful Spirit.
I've been worked, in team, on a contest workshop of Dota 2, the theme was Warhammer Total War Battle. My principal work was on this character, Dragon Knight. Interested in making dota items but I can barely make a box in 3D so I thought I would share my ideas here in case anyone wants to collaborate. I am open to suggestions and feedback. Thanks for looking! http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198027456808/myworkshopfiles/
Sculpt looks cool and reads pretty clean. Texture is a good start but I 'd definitely recommend you to push it a bit more, try googling the Dota 2 workshop texturing guide for some ideas, since you have a similar style going on.
May I suggest a light gradient on your character! :) Here's a thread I use sometimes that may help you too! http://polycount.com/discussion/101248/dota-2-art-guide-baking-a-gradient-mask
The textures look really good, can't wait to see your stone prop stylized like these. I get a bit of dota 2 feeling, but your stuff looks sharper and less over saturated, great job!
New boss monster: The Skeleton King This is still a WIP Obviously inspired by dota 2's skeleton king Ive been playtesting most of the day so ive been trying to squeeze this guy in between matches
