Yesterday sounded like a good time. I did meet up with Scott (eXpendabLe) last night for dinner. Had a great time at Magic Time Machine. We were served by this lady dressed up as Lilo (Lilo & Stitch).
3dsmax 8 with uvHelp, from www.microcan.nl covers pretty much anything DeepUV had going for it. If you do want a good 3rd party app that works better than the max tools, try unfold 3d magic, www.unfold3d.com
Inspired by the recent TF2 contribution thing going on, I wanted to make a hat. A day later, I'm done and it's sent off to magical Valve land to roam with its other cranium-dwelling brethren in hopes of multiplying and spreading its spawn through out the globe.
There is a non documented maya node in 2018 which is somehow "interesting". Just select an object and type the mel command "polyRetopo;" todo some magic. This automatic retopo could in combo with booleans lead to some new workflows. Looks like it does only work on Windows.
Hello Jonathan, I would be more than happy to support you with the Animation side of things. Please have a look at some of my works: Grinding Magic Animations - @ my Youtube Channel Contact: KristofferBjorklund88@gmail.com Cheers, Kris
Thanks Eric! I feel like proper color is some sort of magic that I can catch glimpses of but never properly hold. In other news, did a quick sketch tonight for a painting that (sort of) came to me in a dream..
kinda underwhelmed its 99.9% like magic the gathering. on the bright side i can almost guarantte that it wont be P2W, since in MtG mechanic card strength are always equal to the mana cost, unlike say.. yugioh and urban rivals
Heres a quick look at my Cue List!! Going to start gathering sounds tomorrow, as well as coming up with sound concepts for each magical ability. Trying to give each figure a unique sound character. Will probably be working in Ableton for this :)
@future-fiction, thanks. Yeah I have a fuzz map isolating the effect to the jaw chin and skull region. The cavity map is a bake from knald with a highpass over the albedo to extract the fine details and with some adjustment layer magic.
I was trying mudbox purely for texture painting. It was horrible, horrible experience. I've encountered around 5 bugs/glitches that made the software useless for texturing. I've switched to 3dcoat and never looked back - this thing works like magic.
