Are you using the latest Service Pack? Have you tried resetting xforms? Have you tried disabling backface culling? http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autodesk-3ds-max-2014-service-pack-3.html
Acually I have he same problem, maybe can be the path with space ? or I'm doing wrong with .ui file and Python code? , my actual path is: "C:\Users\sergio.espinosa\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2017 - 64bit\ENU\scripts\Espi" thanks!! ^^
Awesome, thanks for posting the solution. Sounds like an invisible mesh element, almost like floating vertices but with some polygons attached (otherwise it wouldn't be an element). If you still have the problematic file, you should submit it as a bug, so Autodesk can identify and fix.
Some VFX studios in London are only taking on people with Modo skills in their repertoire. I guess the way The Foundry has now dominated the compositing world with Nuke they are now on the hunt for 3D software domination. Maybe Autodesk will buy it out and crash it into a cliff like XSI :(
The autodesk suites run well on windows 8. I switched directly when it came out end of 2012 and don´t had any issues. Even my old creative suite 3 works. I did not tried mudbox, but zbrush works fine.
most likely a graphics card driver issue. check if yours is too old or known as problematic (autodesk forums/support). also if you're running a version of windows that 2016 is actually intended to be run on. e.g. are you on windows 10 by any chance, seems they do not support it.
hi kyle_butler, I did a quick Google search, you could try maya fluids. Here's some tutorials: http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/autodesk-maya/how-to-create-an-awesome-fire-effect-using-maya-fluids/ or https://vimeo.com/5672579 Hope that helps!
Hi guys i just want to post a sketch i created with autodesk sketchbook. I did with my finger. this is an Argiope appensa. Eating a honey bee. Drawn from the book Hawaiian Insects and their kin. The big colorful one is the female and the smaller one is the male.
I regretted purchasing Mudbox after Skymatter sold out to Autodesk. It was the worst software purchase I ever made by far... I wish I had spent my money on Zbrush. Not only because of the savings with free upgrades, but also because of the usefulness of the program.
if you are in maya learn arnold... autodesk bought solidangle so its most likely arnold will be the standard for maya in the future... no need to learn different render engines... if you know one you are up to speed in a short time if you have to learn a new one....
