This is great! Thank you so much. I also noticed that instead of doing an inset of the bottom (and potentially reducing the rounded edge size), I can just press shift before scaling down the edges of the bottom in order to preserve the larger rounded edges, before applying the tri chamfer.

I understand quad remeshing but it is unsuited for intermediate modeling purposes. But there should be a reason for the topology mismatch between Blender and Max. An OBJ or FBX file should work about the same in most applications unless there is an actual error in the geometry.

I don't know about topogun settings, but the wacom driver for some operational systems has a minimum pressure setting. The pen click isn't considered valid until you apply that amount of pressure, and if set too high that's quite noticeable in some tools. It's worth taking a look.
