Working on this for a while and I guess it's about time to post my progress so far. Currently hp is about 80% done. Just need to add some more details here and there. I'm thinking of building a whole environment surrounding this piece later on. All the crits and comments are welcome. Here are a couple of WIPs. I will post…
What is for you Sci-Fi of 70s-80s? It's hard to me imagine those times because I was born in 90s... I like this theme and... space! So, I decided to create a Portal/Gate. One portal... Well, not enough. Add spaceships! Some 3d magic: I have done it all together and did this: Hope you enjoy! >> AWP | Portal
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warhammer_40,000:_Dawn_of_War_II_%E2%80%93_Chaos_Rising Did anyone pick this up yet? It was my first shipped title with Relic and I couldn't have asked for a better team to start my career off at Relic with. Hmm. That sort of technique is beyond a tutorial. I mean, you might find something that will guide you to recreate a very specific thing, but it won't teach you the fundamentals you need to do your own things. Do you mean texture arrays in one texture like The Witcher workflow? lele83 said: Is this the one you are talking about: https://80.lv/articles/ue4-gradient-array-mask-material/ Would be nice to have like 8 or even 16 materials in one. Is there a reason why ue4 or ue5 hasn't implemented this fully in the last 5 years?
I modeled the robot head in 3D to use as a base for a paintover. There were more details I wanted to add but this is as far as I got. Wanted to try a 80% 3D render and 20% painting, but I know I won't have the time for this contest so I'm halting 3D and diving straight into 2D :) Thanks for checking out my thread! -Dank…
From the wiki on texels there's this nice article on texture density: https://80.lv/articles/textel-density-tutorial/ If a small model and a huge model have the same pixel density, they will show their texture maps with the same amount of stretchiness. I think the situation you described is inconsistent density (the huge…
They make some electric trimmers now with a small vacuum below the trimmer that sucks up the hair as you trim. I had one when I was going bearded. It caught about 80% of the hair if you didnt trim more than 1/4" at a time. Not sure how I would do it without that. Not the best trimmer in the world but the utility was nice.
