Hi everyone! I started new game art project. This time I'm going to create a tractor - Ursus C-330. They were produced in years 1967–1987 in Warsaw. Reference from Wikipedia: I'm trying new method for hard-surface shapes (Booleans + Dynamesh). I use Blender and Zbrush for modelling. Final polycount will be around 200k…
Howdy, I'm super excited to announce my latest ZBrush training course now offered on Lynda.com CLICK HERE If you're new to ZBrush or looking for a fun and exciting challenge please check it out. I demonstrate the following tools and techniques: DynaMesh and ZRemesher Creating rope with Insert Brush Carving out a…
I'm as well new to Zbrush, been at it for a week now. What I recon you should do to get good topology and detail in organic modeling such as a human is, is to work on lower levels and not divide too early and before you would go into detail dynamesh on the lower levels. It looks like you divided way too early and now its…
Post: #1 The last few days i have been working on a base body for the first character of the project, started out just trying to make the parts and add some minor detail, but i remeshed after some issues and restarted the other night to lower the poly count (from a dynameshed model and Zremeshed) to keep working on the…
3D coat has sort of a wonky interface, could never get used to it, but some say they prefer its texturing to substance painter. Try the demo and some tutorials and see if it clicks. Zbrushcore is a bit dubious as far as value imo, but you still get dynamesh and the basic sculpting tools. That along with substance painter 2…
Haha yeah something the size of a mortar shell  And yeah I was originally going for a worn wooden stock, and I think I ended up taking a bit to much creative liberty with it... And the crude wood / pristine engravings mix does indeed look a bit odd on second thought. Thanks for the feedback, I'll give the clear…
I think those parts are double sided and very thin. You can use the inflate brush to bulge those areas back out, then dynamesh, then smooth is back out. Duplicate your model first, so you can use subtool > project all to easily get the detail back. also try tool > geo > modify topo > close holes. Not sure if that works in…
nice! can i ask, is the head Dynamesh? is it possible to show the polyframe? i've been studying and trying to learn Zbrush head modeling, and always want to know the underlying topology, general mesh structure but most people never display the polyframe. sorry i can't really give any crits, because it looks great to me and…
update: Got the UVs done and packed them all into one layout. I left enough padding for a 2k texture, but I'll probably do a 4k diffuse on this. Anyways, Here's the progress. @ Havoc89, thanks man- I see you've made some nice weapons. @CGA, thanks, but there are a lot of people much better than me at hard surface modeling…
It's time for the first tutorial! ヾ(´▽`;)ゝ http://bit.ly/FollysProjectTut This is something I think everyone should know and use! Today I'll be showing you how to use Projection in this ZBrush Tutorial. You'll learn how to project subdivision levels from a high resolution mesh, on to a low resolution mesh and all of its…
