1 texture = 1 draw call = win I actually haven't tried it yet myself but I've been in situations where it would of been a life saver: smart objects. rather than try to explain it just try messing around with smart objects in photoshop to see what they do: layer > smart objects > convert to smart object
i'm surprised you're confused. a lot of people think character work is more interesting/more important/more betterest. contests are not accurate representations of reality - they cotton to what will draw the most attention, the most entries. most people outside of the industry dream of seeing their guy running around on tv…
Great work, I love the red flag in the first screenshot. The red works very well with the gold/yellow. The mine is also getting quite nice, I love the stone texture. Thanks for showing the flats, it's very interesting. Personally I would at some color accents, like cave drawings or something? Keep up the good work.
Well, vanishing points are, together with the horizon, the basic starting points for every drawing that uses perspective. Have a look at this video (the instructor sounds likes he's teaching a four year old but just ignore his tone) it's the most basic explanation I could find. http://youtu.be/4tv06f--1wI?t=51s I hope it…
@grfxman I will get back to the drawing board then, we have a new build coming withing the next week we hope that might fix the issue. @finalfight try turning off the floating windows and turning on tabed psd's and see if that fixes it. We are working on making sure it is supported but we admit Adobe through us a bit of a…
Ahhh! Too many words! I never learned how to read! I think this is more of a book on how Lucas helped to push technology with his movies, the birth of THX, etc. That image of the "Cindy" model with them drawing the topology on the girls actual face before building her in 3D was interesting. Everyone should have tattooed…
New concept in 3D. Looks much different than initial drawings because I wanted to see how having ramps and pathways would look on the space station, and design it how players might be able to jump up and down between levels through the openings. I might try to make it more blocky like the original and compare.
Yeah dude I think you took way too much offense to that. I know it's less about the words and more how the person means it, but I can't imagine many situations where I would be considering punching a bloke over a name. On a tangentially related note, I dislike when people call 3d models 'drawings'.
i use the mini-dvi one. ;) works fine for me. i have mine hooked up to a dell 24" screen without troubles. also sometimes use it on the telly with that adaptor. a laptop in a lifedrawing session only get's in the way imo. been there done that. you'll spend time setting it up and operating the software while the others get…
AO textures and SSAO are only draw in shadows, not in plain light. https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Rendering/LightingAndShadows/AmbientOcclusion/index.html If you want your AO texture to be visible, multiply it by your diffuse and plug the result in your base color input inside your material. Note however…
