Shoebox Texture Ripper has some nice bezier controls. Pretty easy to use. https://renderhjs.net/shoebox/textureRipper.htm You can download it here for free: https://renderhjs.net/shoebox/ Shoebox was built on Adobe Air, which was then sold off to Samsung, so the runtimes are now here: https://airsdk.harman.com/runtime
No environment of this size would use a laid out flat UV map. Work on a nice repeating texture and then feel free to break up the spots where it is repeating with stuff like rocks, trees, dirt piles, etc. I honestly wouldn't even think of working on something this size from this distance. Get down into the scene (like your…
Hopefully not too many images =\ . Tree is the most recent with the Flag being the oldest. Rhino was done somewhere before the tree for something quick and fun. I'll prob get around to texturing him sometime and maybe rig him up. Hes not quite done yet as I could prob clean up some poly's around the lower head (Mouth) area…
I recently worked on this Chinese courtyard environment as part of a team where I was the Art Director. It was motivated by the recent Chinese New Year of the OX with the iconic wishing tree's and lanterns that are commonly seen within the Chinese culture. If anyone does have any feedback or critique then please do let me…
Hey everyone! We’re a small indie studio called Skyline federation and we are currently working on a short 3d movie called "Off Road"—a grounded military action project involving a downed cargo plane, recovery, and some sci-fi twists. We’re looking for a character modeler to help bring our soldiers, PMCs, and robotic…
Oh im sorry, I didn't remember right, I paid 795 per month equaling to 9540 per year + 300 for fees so a bit more, not cheap imo but manageable. There is also a free one here but good luck getting into that. And im not sure about the quality. If you want to live in no mans land then in the east are 100% free schools but…
This has actually been very educational for me as I actually see a lot of hostility towards a perceived AI advocate or sympathizer! LOL I knew that it existed but have only seen hints of it (I get that way when AI fan boys extol the virtues and greatness of it because they have a financial stake in it's success), I am not…
Confused as to why he would do any of that? janeil24kid, looking good, try and work a little longer on the surface so that it looks less like brush strokes. It's difficult to work with branch-like forms in zbrush, one thing that helps though is the Inflate brush. Use it to control the thickness when you get into trouble.…
I want to paint vegetation so badly! i can model it good enough, but when it comes to texturing them, i'm totally lost. So about a year ago, i bought a fairly nice digicam for help on this. I tried to snap a few tree limb textures with all kinds of techniques, but they all turned out crappy. I am thinking the only solution…
You need more branches that point upward at the top of the tree. The upward pointing branches would be the youngest. As the tree grows they are moved from the tip of the trunk to the sides and begin to fan out and droop downward. At the end of it's life the branch will be drooping nearly straight down until it detaches…
