working on render setups for a portfolio. it's really hard to balance readability with showiness. i had to make a complimentary, less gucci material for really busy models, as the red made those shapes impossible to read. wish i could show anything i've modeled in the past year. :(
That thing is sexy! You managed to make it look badass and durable rather than goofy and wobbly which is hard to pull off with orks. I would love to see a driver in it :P Only critique on it is it could use some colour. Maybe some Orky glyphs/symbols.
Sukotto: Howdy hoo, dinoboxer! I like the top-heavy stylization of the model. I think his facial hair is a little hard to distinguish against the dark blue skin. Maybe turning the dark brown hair brighter or another colour would help clarify the features? :-)
Shush fisher, i love your char ! awesome design. You oughta be wary about the boots, they kinda style the attention. Each time I look at your model, my eyes are attracted to her boots. speedy of the day Trying a more anime/comic style...this is pretty hard !
Calling this one done I think unless anyone picks up on anything :) Learned alot from doing the small scene as it has been my first attempt at 100% hand painted props but I am ready to go back to some hard surface modelling now :poly142:
I am SO sorry to hear about your loss, Steffen... I can't imagine how hard it must be. Beautiful homage, though! I love the calm and natural expression he has on that sculpt, it will make a splendid statue. Once again, please accept my sincere condolences.
Welcome, exten! gauss - I can't believe it, but that looks almost exactly like I place I've dreamed about. Crazy!! I love the dark mood, but maybe just a taaad brighter lighting, some things are too hard to see. Bart, Paroxum, HAL - Thanks for the nice comments :]
Some really impressive work in this thread everyone, and Free Fall that is looking great, wish my hard surface skills were that good. Anyway here's something I've been working on since this Thursday night, still Very wip and I'm still trying to decide what to do with the head and arms
Just working on setting up a scene which has a collection of different hard-surface stuff. I will get around to modeling a crazy looking car (was thinking ariel atom V8) and putting it in a "clean garage". Anyway been a while so started off with barrels and away I went xD
never needed this before - any clues how to upload youtube video with better quality? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygAOAGNLBQ4&feature=g-upl"]CM_Bum_06 - YouTube[/ame] thats still not the thing i have on hard drive, should I compress it before uploading, or format should be standardized?.
