You prolly could have stopped at step 2 or 3. By 4 and 5 it looks like you've overpainted the contrast and it ends up looking more stylized/cartoony. Not sure if that is what you were going for or not, but thought I'd point it out. *Edit* this post is aimed at Walnut, BTW.
great stuff, johny. Lots of character in that. pior, that's just pure hawt. Love the painterly look to the textures. robG, awesome as always. Decided it was high time to start relearning zbrush. About 2 hours(?) from a polysphere: Still trying to get the hang of things... but shit, zb3 is FAST.
that one ugly redneck.. yuh... add him a john deer cap !!! quick texture, uvw, and model correction for a friends projet. 2 day of work. and first really " anatomicaly correct" human in year ;D 'got to love those monster. it a referee from a rollerball-like sport
That looks awesome Z cubed. It sorta looks like Earthworm Jim on uber-steroids Some stuff I'm working on for No More Room In Hell. A Girl, which will also have 2 more skins made for her, and then zombie versions of them all. and some Corpse bits for map props.
My friend asked for a snake-monster model. I'm afraid it might be too cliche, maybe I should go with legs. I'm thinking of adding some webbed hands (2 claws and a thumb?) and some web/hood action under the arms, don't know if that'll deform well....
I haven't been modelling enough recently, so I just did this tonight for fun, took about 2 hours maybe or so, its part of a larger scene that's sort of based on Roger Dean's "Yellow City." This is just what I got finished before going to bed.
That's looking great rooster! It reminds me of the Models from Half-life 2. Here's a project I started earlier this week. I'm doing a bust of a character I modeled awhile ago for the GTA Character CG Chat comp. Here's the character And his much more stylised revamp
started off as the Armour Me! contest head but I couldn't resist tweaking him :P Used Peter, the body builder on 3d.sk as reference- taken about 2 hours to get to this stage, including tweaking the model, uvs and texture. edit: damn it seems bright on my work monitor! grrrr.
Frankensteined a 2 year old body/arms model to test out proportions and color (and to quickly kick ass on nexuiz online as while I wait for the linux UT3 client to come out ) also a silly messy looking chaingun replacement - trying 90's VGA 'professional' shareware game style.
Skeptical Nate nice high. Give the table also few more tri's. U want ZB it later, total skulpting? And one question from me. For reel 2 objects will be enough ( this props are for gasstation, and second I planning a mech)?? Soon I'll add more stuff from gass but as a thread.
