You can easily have 100 5k models and 100 2k texture sets. It will eat up a great amount of video memory, but most modern graphics cards should be able to handle this with ease. Interesting link glottis. In that case I would expect it to be $90-$100 for brand new if it is targeted to be a cheaper knock-off for kids. I still had a hard time coughing up $120 for my DS Lite a few years back. -

Vertex color in Max >1.0 ?
I'm kind of just thinking about loud here. But I'm curious if anyone has used vertex color in 3ds Max that goes above 1.0? We're using vert color in our game for some effects, and the artists can paint in a range from 0 to 20. Values lower than 1 use Multiply, and values more than 1 use an Additive-like method. Works… -
