Custom Node return refract(E, N, IOR); E = Camera Vector (invert or transform this pending on needs). N = Normal (same as above). IOR = Index of Refraction (plug in a constant check up a IOR table). It looks like its sticking up but its illusion since it depends on colours. Thats why I made those arrows and drawings ;p At least thats how I understand normal maps. I think the illusion works because our eyes are used to top lighting. Since upper border is light green/blue and lower is purple the difference in lightness… -

The one thing I didn't like about the prototype is that all you guys shoot in the same direction. It's actually pretty much the opposite of a tactical squad. Since this is an anatomy sculpt, I would work on tightening up some of the anatomy in general and using some more reference. Some parts that stick out are the front of the body and the head. For the torso, your placement is alright but your forms lack depth. Your abs, external obliques and sartorius all kind of blend…
