20-40 materials is (to use a technical term) fuck all - You have nothing to worry about. Assuming you're in Ue4 look at the stat console commands to see draw calls/frame times etc. Don't get too hung up on it though, if you've done a village with 20-40 materials you're probably doing it right
What are the best places to get textures for your game assets? Does anybody use textures images from photos anymore or is it mostly substance painter and photogrammetry these days? What about retro style ps1 graphics? I miss when texture.com was free and now requires a subscription to get textures.

I've been trying to import a 16-bit (also tested 32-bit, same thing) heightmap into Photoshop, but it always stays in 8-bit mode. I've tried several file formats, nothing seems to work. Hi I want to build my own toggle switch for lock selected and key slected or unlock , to do that i just simply want to click a button to toggle in shelf so that if i select any attribute of the object i should be able to lock or unlock just with a click rather than doing right cliock and lock selected..please help...
