My guess is that it tricks the eye into seeing it smoother than it actually is because there are no shared parallel edges between the top and bottom. Similar in principle to using 5 sided cylinders as opposed to 6 sided for arms and legs on lowpoly characters, 5 sided appears less geometric to the eye than 6 and therefore…
what sucks is why innovate if you have no competition? I guess we can expect even more of the same for the next 5 years. And at such a critical point in time too. Just as companies are getting their next gen engines ready. After 5 years, if the license is no longer exclusive, other companies will be left way behind.
I'm getting a msg "Failed to compile file: C:\cryengine_3.4\Assets\Props\arch01.fbx" Is there a way to see what's going on with this mesh? Is it because I have 5 sided faces? edit: yes it was, I made it work not having 5 sided faces. Would be awesome if you get that info on a log or something, or if automatically…
If you're serious about this like you said in your other thread, I'd recommend picking up the pace a bit. There's not much to critique here. Looks like about 5 minutes of work. There's also a lot scale and proportion issues that generally I'm not too worried about 5 minutes in, but you might want to watch out for those.
That is a must, maybe something like 4 of 5 ppl must surrender on one team and 3 of 5 on the other team accepts. on another note, I hope not to sound bad in anyway, but does anyone want to trade a compendium for some items of my items? The current price is 7 keys on the market which I think is pretty high.
That would very likely be Camtasia. However you might want to grab version 5, and not the current version 6 as it seems to be more efficient (v6 gave me big flickering problems with Topogun and Mubox, 5 was flawless, and I hear Maya behaves the same but I didnt test). It does captions aswell, very simple to add actually.
Really?! 5% isn't that much. I would definitely talk with people over at Epic to find out how that applies to your specific situation, but 5% is really nothing. It was much higher with previous versions of unreal. Also you can cancel you subscription at any time and retain your licences you just don't get updates.
You shouldnt have to explain anything to your clients. As a freelancer, it's your job to upload on time. If you know that means you have to start uploading 5 hours before the due date, then so be it. Do that. If you need that 5 hours for work, then you should be adding the upload time to your time estimates. Least, that's…
