Thanks for the feedback, I'd think im done with this one:) I straightened out the edges, replaced the concrete with a less contrasted version, removed the seam through the middle of the columns, removed a lot of noise from the normals map and made the difference between the 2 tile orders a bit more separated. I like your stuff. Just remove all the "WIP" text, as it makes nothing look like it is done. I wouldn't know if it is WIP or not, so just keep it with a title. Also I would remove the show more button, as off course I want to see more, I am on a portfolio site ^^ Gimme more! -
Re: Pelt Mapping from an inner seam?
Max 2010. I did have seams on the holes, so I could expand the face selection to seams to split it off. I can't seem to remove the seams on the holes afterwards (shown in green). Edit seams + alt+click won't remove them. And if I planar map it, the green seams will still be there too. Any suggestions? -

After reading the message from Ken, I can't help but think this is all very... selfish? If you needed so badly to do something new that didn't take an entire studio, remove yourself from the studio... don't remove the studio. Best of luck to the Irrational guys. We're still hiring for a ton of positions at id Software. -

I had to remove some gifs from my thread because it was killing my hosting bandwidth. I was inspired by nick carvers concepts, basically its a gray 3D model with a heavy paintover. Thanks again for all the feedback! Made some more changes. -Head is wider -Legs are thicker -Torso is thinner -Shoulders are less broad (and removed a row of polygons) -Arms are longer -I think I added some proper deformation to the knees. -Made the chest less flat -Removed a lot of polygons where they weren't needed.
