Looks great so far, are you gonna sculpt the whole thing or just stick with a bust? Only minor crit I noticed was that the concept appears to have curled ram horns, which in your interpretation have been changed to what look like koala ears?
@Ashervisalis It's totally possible to add more, I'm not sure whether I want this final piece as a real-time asset or pre-rendered. Kinda making it up as I go. Here's the latest renders in Keyshot, keeping to the 'marble bust' idea I have in my head.
More school Work...Did a lot of projects and it was rather intense so I kinda stopped posting for a while Character design project for a zbrush class. Did the design my self, anatomy is a bit off but it's good for a first finished character bust (high to low workflow)
Thanks a lot guys, really glad you dig it :) Unfortunately I woke up to a computer that refused to boot this morning. Might take a few days of fixing before I can get back to this bust :/ The good part is the files were not stored on it so the project is safe.
Cheers for the feedback and suggestion :) I should point out that I've not touched the shoulders/neck beyond the harsh ridge and I agree they need looking at. Part of that is I've not decided whether or not to keep this as a bust or turn it into a full character. Will keep it in mind once I'm happier with the bone crown.
Here is an update on some changes I made based on your feedback Deforges, thanks again! Also i got some exciting news, I will have this bust 3d printed and in my hands next wednesday! I will update more when I get it, cheers!
Hello. I think the blue-haired woman is the best of the three. The shading in all busts looks pleasant to me. I think the blonde woman has something off in the construction, if you remove the facial features I get this feeling that the skull is proposing a slightly different direction:
Well, almost daily, I do ballroom dancing for my exercise.... Oh, nvm, I do 1-2 proj at a time, each usually run 1-2 months long. Sometimes I decide to do busts or try new techniques I learn.
Maybe while first getting the hang of Zbrush, start with a 2D concept. It doesn't necessarily have to be your own concept. Start small, work on busts of characters to really get the hang of the software. As you build your skills you can move on to things that are more complex.
For the sake of thoroughness, I have to post my very first terribad sculpt. I heard when you first install ZBrush, you're pretty much contractually required to bust out a demon of some sort....so obligatory demon first sculpt post! Yay!
