http://www.gizmondo.com/ Some local handheld developer said that it had more power than the psp. With GP built in and its multiple functionality allows it to have more usefulness than either of the other handhelds. -

XSI.scn - Scene File - scene .xsi - DotXSI format - geometry, local animation, texture .emdl - External Model File - saves selected Scene info externally for reference...geometry, rigs, lights, etc. -

iMag: Yep, Miranda saves it locally though it can add contacts from your online list. There seem to be connection problems now, I constantly get disconnected. Perhaps some server is down. -

Max works like how you want it to. I think you are looking at the local coords and not world. Just change it back to the default of "view" or "world" and you'll see where the objects pivot point is in relation to the world coords.
