@Vig - So after that heart wrenching monologue what do you advise, how can we escape the fate that's beyond our control?? How can the humble game artist evade such hardships??? I suggest we all shack up with the nearest Million.....no Billionaire we can find.... first dibs on Bill Gates
neck looks way too long in the armored picture. scar on her forehead looks more like a chickenpox scar than what I imagine you were going for. remember, scar tissue is raised, it doesn't heal as little trenches in the skin. Her eye areas could stand to be brought down a little, I think...
Long term for me is to get out of the art production trenches and become a producer or lead artist type role, more management than actual making shit. kinda the opposite of most of you guys but right now I find I dont do personal art that much because im busy making stuff all day, so to reverse that would be fun i think.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light (the game I think Alberto Rdrgz was thinking about) is AMAZING. My GF and I played the crap out of that. Another good XBLA is "Trenched." Its a 3rd person mech real time tower defense. Its does have lots of shooting but you can dress your character up in fancy outfits. I have heard…
[ QUOTE ] Heh - I just think it's the kind of thing which sounds neat in concept but translates terribly onto film. Aircraft are interesting when they're zooming around the sky or weaving around obstacles. Flying in straight lines through dark tunnels to the inevitable fiery conclusion just isn't the same. Welcome to the trenches of a creative field, be ready to work like a mad man and open to sacrifices. Your work/demo reel is your real degree. Not an animator here, but since your near the end, having or planning a short will help, also a few polished animations are helpful to diversify your work. You are in a tough field…
Slave_zero: Thanks alot, glad to be here. I have been lurking for a lil while now :) (masterbater trench coat and all) Rooster: haha yea it totally is, threw it in for cheesy effect toward the end, litterally had like 10 mins left on the submission. Although I probably decimated any chance I had by doing that :P
I decompiled all of the TF2 characters about a year ago because it was such a pain in the ass. The HEX editing was tedious and buggy but I finally got them all. I think I have a bunch of weapon models sitting around too but not online anywhere. Here are the character files and the engie wrench:…
I'd say do something with that open trench running along the base of the wall. You've got a scene full of detail and then this uninteresting strip that just cuts across the shot. It just seems out of place. Something simple, like piping grate work or even some kind of floor light fixtures could help fill out that area.
Been a while since Ive done anything, not related to work. Its supposed to be a Winchester Model 1897 Takedown (also known as a trench gun for its use in WWI) with a heat shield and bayonet mount. I have image planes set up and am using other references to get the details. I plan on doing a High Poly build (pictured)…
