Nice work there Spitty! Am checking out the vids now. Some other work by Alexander Stepanchikov for his Dredd entry in Comicon (also polypainted) here: http://www.gameartisans.org/forums/threads/62572-Comicon-2014-3D-Stepanchikov-Judge-Dredd-Stand/page3
@Eric Chadwick i have an older device (galaxy s3), so a oneline title is only 0.4 cm in physical size - which is a bit too small for easy browsing. The forum pages-number buttons are actually a bit bigger and seem to work very well.
Where can I find my user files? I removed everything related to max following this: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-perform-a-clean-uninstall-of-an-Autodesk-product.html As a matter of fact this is ridiculous, it is also happening in Max 2014!
I really doubt that as the file were converted from previous max version using a fresh install of max 2014. So far my best bet is tat it has something to do with the physx driver but i'll still check the service pack just in case :)
Getting ready for the 2014 Worldcup in Brasil, while watching Danny Williams sculpting and listening to some of his tunes, I started sketching and ended up doing a quick sculpt of something in between my drawing and...well, something else. Turntable: http://vimeo.com/93691084
Clip plane value: 0.1 to 1000 (I use first person controller). I had tried for the near 0.2 ; 0.4 : 1.0 and 100 ; 500 for the distant plan, but nothing change. I noticed that happen when there is something bright behind (example a white floor).
US government is taking action against for-profit colleges, including the corporation that controls Art Institutes. Too much debt, not enough jobs. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-07-07/corinthian-takedown-signals-tougher-education-agency-enforcement.html Link to EDMC/AI website:…
Maya 2013 is giving me an error when I try to load a HDR cube map saved as .dds float32 RGBA. Googling found some info on the Maya 2014 docs that seems to hint that 16 or 32 bit array(like a cubemap) textures are not supported. Surly I'm crazy and am just missing something?
hello, I am trying to render a space scene in maya for my animation course. I have the ship, a few planets and an asteroid and 4 camera angles. What I cant seem to wrap my head around is lighting the scene and adding the stars. How do I add a starfield in Maya 2014 and a sun with a lens flare? thanks!
