Here is a quick render of the High poly of my baseball bat. I'm new to a lot of texturing and want to create a realistic bat using PBR techniques. Currently I am stuck on understanding how to apply a decent wood grain and then paint it with polypaint, any tips, hints, tricks, tutorials or even just critique would be…
Does anyone know what the heck this is in the image below? The crazy colored strands were made with zbrush fibermesh. For some reason whenever the polypaint colorize button is on these colors show up and I can't figure out how to make them go away. I tried Color/Fill Object and filling it with another matcap or color but…
This is my first attempt to create realistic female head . I am looking for constructive criticisms. I am not expert in anatomy. It could be something wrong or something that can be improved. I use zbrush for sculpting then retopo it in 3D coat and use Marmoset to render. For texturing I hand painted everything in…
amirabd2130 - Thanks man. :D wakkamis - Thanks man, The hairstyle I might experiment with more when at the hair card phase heboltz3 - Thanks man :D !! Ok so this is pretty much the finished sculpt, im going to move on to the retopo now. But the first pic is a WIP of the face polypaint and the WIP of eyelashes and eyebrows
Thanks both :) I shifted my concentration to the helmet, worked on creating his Major badge for the front of the helmet with a combination of shadowbox, polish and alpha from texture. Also experimenting with textures & polypaint for the two layers of the helmet. The upper layer needs some more attention and markings before…
I was away for a while and didn't have access to my computer. ;_; Got some more progress on the sculpt done today and tried a quick transpose and polypaint. The sculpt is still bumpy here and there, especially the choker. Trying out some different colours. I want some patterns on the fabric in the actual texture, I think.
Here's the progress so far! She's polypainted with FiberMesh hair. Rendered with BPR. Not sure what to do now- I'd like to add texture, but I need to learn how first! Any advice or critique will be much appreciated- so much to learn!! :poly121: P.S. Any tips for making nice eyelashes with FiberMesh?
Ahh, I see now! Thanks DWalker. Hookay, so I've started polypainting since time constraints required it. I also have hopefully fixed up the front leg a bit (I found this picture of a housecat's leg/paw as reference because I imagined him as more feline in the front legs).
Yes. Except you need to make UVs for the lowpoly parts, and those UVs need to match the size of the intended output. If you load your registration marks into UVW Unwrap, as a background bitmap, then you can adjust your lowpoly UVs to match. Then you can bake the polypainted models into the lowpoly UV layout.
alright, just downloaded it. tried out quicksketch, kind of interesting. it seems you just sketch on a plane subdivided to 470k quads, and then polypaint on it with the new pen brushes. they're pretty interesting. here is a funny trial with one of the brushes, kind of interesting how it works: [ame]…
