This is old. I knew about 616 back when I was a teen. The best one is the bar code containing '666' But as all progammers know 666 is not 666 it's 667 because computers count zero. 000 is the first, 001 is second...etc. -

Both just need to have the same name in Max and Unreal. When you import the model in Unreal after you've exported it, just make sure you've fully loaded your package containing your materials or Unreal will not find them. -

Also, I'm not sure if it's my browser (Firefox 4 beta) but the page is aligned to the right. I'm no CSS pro but I think setting your container margin-left/right to : auto; would center it. Assuming you want it centered of course. -
Re: exporting to .mov for reel
I know it's no help to your codec problems with exporting, but with showreels I've always been instructed to export using either the H.264 or .MP4 containers for Quicktime. I'd say leave attempting to export with Sorensen and use either of these other options. -

No, it is perfectly fine to used colour specular maps, a few people when starting think that they must be grey scale, but they can contain as much colour as needed, that is why a lot of people, when working on their diffuse, also use it as a temporary specular map. -

Fucking awesome movie. just got back. A righteously intense experience. Not something you take seriously, but it's nice to see something that isn't a serious drama but still contains serious ideas, just succeeds so well at what it's trying to do. -
Light/Shadow leaks
I'm working on an interior scene contained within a visarea. All my walls, floors and ceilings (they're all snapped to the grid as well) are made from Solids and all have the "Cast Shadows" flag ticked. Weirdly enough shadows being cast from CGF brushes are going right through the solids. Does anyone know the best solution… -
3Ds Max Mental Ray error - Displacement
Hi guys, I've added a displacement map to a material on my object. I then added a composite which contains 5 layers. I added a displace modifier to the object and instanced the composite in the map section of the displace modifier panel. I'm getting this when rendering: I've no idea as to why. Any help would be… -

so i changed the presentation of Mowen and added 2 more shots with front side back view. i also added my some of my traditional works. my portfolio then will contain far less than the actual artstation site (see here: http://skodone.artstation.com/) what do you think :)
