Hi, Maya 2014 Trying to create props to use in Vue so saving as Objs. Didnt have an issue til last night. When I save an Obj and open it in Vue or even maya the texture is gone and replaced by black shading group. I hadnt changed any settings and after searching no fixes have worked. Can someone help me out with this issue? Or do any of you know what is going on here, or now how to fix it? It makes modeling almost impossible to do. I appreciate any help any of you can give. i only have a super from 2014 old example at hand. but here we also didnt have anisotropic shading here sadly i dont have the project files anymore so i can't check for other haircuts which certainly are closer to what you showed above. but it is definitely possible to fake this to some extend.
