They still haven't released 2.5! Man, I thought they would be on like 4.0 or at least 3.0 by now.... Guess development has really slowed on that... Honestly, it isn't THAT bad. It sucks, but if you can learn Zbrush, you can learn blender :P
It's all Photoshop. The octopus itself is in a file that's 5000x5000(16 2/3"x16 2/3") at 300 DPI. The canvas it's on at the moment in that screenshot is 17x11 so I actually have a good bit of resolution. I'm good up to ~24"x24" with this setup.
I'll be the first to agree the slow motion stuff in 300 was great for absorbing the eye candy... Unfortunately, it was overdone. There's also a small section in this trailer where I'm certain he's at it again... Let's just hope he doesn't ruin this film by constantly doing it.
i'd assume they're building the top lod to be suitable for closeups. eg. 2-300% screensize I wouldn't be surprised to see car models in racing games approaching a million triangles by now. that's cheating though cos they don't get skinned
bah sad news...always waiting o the next wipeout.... my bleeding sensory organs will miss you [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WRY_bCy2Hk&feature=fvwrel"]WipEout HD - Syncopia - Zone 120 - YouTube[/ame]
Hey man! that works great!! Couldn't figure that out by myself, thanks! What about scale then? :3 It appears that the display value on the spinner: 1, 2, 3 corresponded into 100%, 200%, 300% value on the standard tti box..hmmmm..
It's yours for $300. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1944625487/omni-move-naturally-in-your-favorite-game I don't like the idea of attempting to walk up the wall of a small sink for hours hours, with a ring wrapped around my waist.
If we end up doing a size limit, 400-500kb per image is definitely all that's needed (maybe 300-350kb). I don't think a single image on my folio is above 500kb and I've never heard a complaint.
commander_keen 3dcoat support voxel sculpting from version 3.0. Also it supports standart polygon sculpting like zbrush, has very awesome tools for retopology. )) I was on its presentation on CGEvent 2008 in Moscow - very nice program
i disagree ewooz. wolverine is supposed to be young looking, thats one of the side effects of the mutant power he has. he is over 120 years old, but his healing factor keeps him in his ultimate physical condition.
