Re: Google Drive issues
Making a local copy does not defeat the purpose of backing up, that is very, very silly. You should have a large drive (1TB or more) to make local backups, and then sync that with google drive. What if the google drive files get corrupted? What if your ssd dies? Generally its best to have 3 copies for any backup system. -

We are working with shotgun which is easy to use for the artists. EmAr -cheers for that. we do still mis the old guy we bought them locally. the animal shelters can be a but fussy sometimes. ie have you got a catflap. (bit of an interrogation) some of them charge entrance fees too. I can see why though, but we just found it easier to buy them someone local -

Finally got the problem fixed. My local IP was the issue. It was set to 192.168.2.xxx, which was the same as the network at work. So when I was trying to connect to it, my system was trying to find the server on my home network. I changed my local IP to 192.168.1.xxx and it works like a charm. -
