I think you need to unify the armor design,I mean the spiked shoulder pad, the skull, te crystal. It looks to me as if they came from different armor sets mashed together. It would be best if you stick with one theme that way the overall design would look cohesive.Hope that helps.
That video is showing photogrammetry, it's a totally different workflow to what you might be thinking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFX-ZL7oTPc I've seen some artists make models of human skulls using photogrammetry, but I don't think I've seen a full skeleton in photogrammetry. That would be an interesting project.
I just rendered it out as an animated sequence, then used Shoebox to compile the sprite sheets. http://renderhjs.net/shoebox/ I can't remember which modifier combo I used, but I don't think it was Cap Holes. Maybe an animated ProBoolean. But I did it on a skull mesh, and it worked pretty well.
Looks pretty cool. One thing I would suggest is make the muscles more fibrous with a slim skin, since he is ancient and undead, a look more parched from time would be interesting, like a mummy. The eyes sockets more open in contrast with skull maybe give a creepy feeling.
I think the head needs some work. I always thought that Ifrit's face looked like a demon lion/bat, but right now Iam getting a rat orge vibe. Things that might be causing this are the long tongue, flat skull, small forehead, strange teeth, and lumpy bumpy face.
I'd say to my eye you have the general head shape and fine details down, but its looking very flat to me, i'm not seeing any indication of musculature or bone structure, for example the cheek bones, chewing muscles or ridges of the skull. the textures are looking awesome though, keep it up.
I love your planning, especially the silhouettes Its great to see some research prior to jumping into a project. I suggest looking for a focal point in your character (probably the skull) Use line and form to draw the viewers eye to it. At the moment your design is a bit too noisy. Good luck with it :)
amazing covarage on your steps, the only thing i am really missing rigth now is that the depth of explanation and storytelling you have with the turrets and inhibitor is totaly missing with the creep den. there it just feels like you thougth a mammoth skull would be cool for a wolf camp. other then that amazing stuff
A dry tree verion with less dense foliage would fit better imo, right now it looks too beautiful and green even without texture. I don't think that orcs likes too much beautiful and green foliage. You could also add some skulls hanging on the trees :)
We were banned from getting crit for marks! But stylists are in saloons cutting hair. The reference pictures of Asians so she slightly missed the concept. Real woman with flaws is one thing. Are you telling me Darwen and genetics and ear being half way down the neck is stylised and acceptable? As that is wrong. And that…
