i was thinking about the same thing last night. after much surfing on CG talk, highend3D and google, i've found...there is no readily available way to do so. not even a script hack.
I'd play with the Distance/Width slider on the lights that are casting the shadows from the bipod/gun - it's pretty sharp and cg looking. Also the shadow under the spent casing on the ground are really strange looking

hi I laughed, killingpeople made me lol I like turtles. I use Marmoset cause its a magic bag of cg rainbows. It is awesome but so are viewport shaders and the UDK

hey @Spag_Eddy, I think LA is the heartland for CG. That being said, maybe your gf will get more powerful opportunities in SD. The traffic is bad. (My brother lives in LA :D ).
I'm not really a 3D CG guy, at least in terms of knowing the software and stuff, but this mech looks pretty cool! What do you like most about it, and what do you hate?
New trailer in front of The Avengers apparently. Maybe not in Europe, but I'm hoping so. Not a huge Marvel fan myself but that movie looks like full-on cg porn so will be checking it out this Friday.
