Personally I'd have it facing the other way since Abaddon slashes outwards with his sword? So if I visualise this right the way your sword works is like piercing with that sharp tip, kinda like a scythe. As opposed to slashing in the direction of flow of the blade. Nevertheless though, it does look really good in-game.
Ok, it seems the issue was because of the limit on the number of bones that can effect a single vertex. I hacked the weights so that any vertex is effected by 3 bones at most. It's not ideal but works fine at the moment. I will update the models if his settings allow more than 3 bones in the future. Here's the result:…
I think Invoker does too. At least his cape was showing up funky in the Maya viewport when I brought it in, as if it had two faces occupying the same space. Checked it though and like BrontoThunder said, only one poly, not double sided... As you can guess, I'd love an answer to this as well :3
Haha, that was funny. But, what I mean, like what valve does, the LOD0's have no separate geo's for the eyes and they appear they are looking around. I guess it's Valve's fancy face tech. They probably assign bones to the eyes? And another thing, how they blink with their eyes? My guess is bones for upper lid and bottom…
Hi guys! I'm learning making dota 2 iems and I have some newbie questions: 1. Are we allowed to customize the hero's face and proportion? or just items? 2. I downloaded dota 2 models on the workshop website. They are all triangulated so how can I use them? or they are just for references?
I've tried this for ages and never gotten good at it. I hope I can improve on my modeling cause its really something I want to do. Anyway I HAD AN IDEA I blame Broodmothers Lore. What if the only one to live after stepping into the lava tubes of Mount Pyrotheos was somehow Doom? Perhaps a part of the seven trials of hell…
Heya, I'll help ya out in case others don't get around to it. 1. Kind of a tricky question! The models that are given from the workshop requirements page are pretty set in stone, honestly. If you're interested in giving an entirely new humanoid face, you'll be in for quite the challenge due to the polycount limits, and how…
Nice work Sukotto! I'm working on a void set too, so I want to ask you or any one who knows how to edit the void face cause mine have the mouth frozen after skinning the new mesh, It looks like it need a morph modifier or something like this, thx and good luck with your void :)
hawkseye - i love most of the set, but i feel like the belt is really plain and the chunky head in the front is a little awkward. I also feel like the helmet is a little too wobbly and soft looking to read as metal - the shape over the face also reminds me a little too much of adam west's batman for comfort :D
But you can't normally see her breasts on her base model so he had to model them. I hate this argument about it being tasteless, as if women in real life exposing cleavage are indecent or some shit like that. Edit: She also has a pretty face exposed, should that be covered up as well in your opinion?
