@Visigoth: you're using too many polies for the chain rings. I would make all the links hexagonal with four sides on each division ((6*4 + 6*4 + 4*4)*2 = 128 tris for the chain instead of (6*2 + 4*6 + 6*6)*2 = 144 tris). It should look better an you get some polies for the other things. Usually going highpoly to lowpoly is…
they just don't put money into it here, they spend the little budget they have on getting the popular people which doesn't even have to be a professional actor/actress, akb etc... take random manga/anime and make it into a live action drama/movie,, it's usually quite bad production wise but as the manga was probably good…
Ive never had any luck with mirroring scripts mostly because the rigs I deal with haven't had much love, but a quick guide usually helps so il duplicate the mesh/character without the rig, merge it all together as one mesh, then mirror. Il do this for all my extreme poses and begin adjusting the rig to match up.. Not ideal…
PC Games usually have them, consoles... not so much. I do like to use them just to get past a game that I don`t have time for. I just opened up Resistance Fall of Man and Resistance 2. In part one I REALLY wanted a code for unlimited ammo or something just to get through the game (I was falling asleep on some moments). As…
Ah, so you're the ideas man. Don't take it personally, but that is a pretty useless member of the team. Usually the concept artist creates a 2D concept of the set and the modeller makes it. Or both those people are the same person. Or the concept artist is involved in the textures and the modeler gives input on the design.…
"The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their ability as above average, much higher than it actually is, while the highly skilled underrate their own abilities, suffering from illusory inferiority." lol. I usually think my work is shit. Does that mean i'm actually friggin awesome!. Or am I just…
@CLo If you just want the basemesh for future sculpt, a zremesher will usually do the trick for you. (Make sure no spiral going on, and that the edgeloops on her face are good enough for your need.) For real lowpoly stuff, I'd retop manually though. @jstyles3d Watch out for the bicep -> elbow relation bro. And I have a…
It usually works for me as just a standard 2x map (I've never used 2048, I usually stick to 1024, but I wouldn't think that would cause a problem... Any reason for 2048?), 16 bit. SO yes, .r16 And it should automatically come up with the components and stuff. Can't imagine why it wouldn't work for you. I just went through…
I'm using a Dell XPS 15 9560, the battery life is pretty good although if you're using any kind of intense 3D app, including the usual software, you're not going to get much battery life on any laptop. You don't want a gaming laptop if you're doing 3D on the go, look for what's considered Power Laptops/Power Book style…
Well genrally i belive that most models that look relatively realistic is in someway photosourced. But its not that strange that you cant recognize a texture on a model from any website. Usually when photosourcing you use elements of a photo or texture that you like. Like if you want dirtstains or rust from one part of a…
