LOLs! I think it would be nicer if you could make the roof of the car just as high as the trucks roof, then at least you could chat to your passengers instead of assaulting them every time you fart!
We wanted to veer away from the traditional approach to this challenge so we are going with a concept in the likes of an Organic throne in a cave environment. source images and block out to follow
This is my first environment I'm doing solo for some practice. Never really was to confident in my texturing abilities so I'm hoping I can get some advice as I go along with this project. I'm not sure if I should be going to texturing now or if I should start modeling the smaller details first.
This initially started out as a way for me to get better at UDK lighting. I think it turned out pretty decent so figured I might as well share it! I used 1024 textures and a custom post processing chain in UDK. Lighting went through several iterations until I settled onto this one.
Coming along nicely! I do think that the shield stuck on the middle of the roof looks way out of place and slapped on though. took me a couple seconds to figure out what it was too. "Is that a steak. . .pinned to the roof?" :P
Yeah B. The shingles are almost cozy. And uh, I would get rid of the tiny spike fence thingy on the roof. It's not doing anything there and the long, uninterrupted curve of the roof would contrast nicely with the business of some of the other shapes.
Uhh... Let's do this thing. First thing that springs to mind when I hear 'throne' is a toilet, naturally. But that seems too obvious, so let's make it an outhouse. Throw in some tree/vine stuff to make it interesting and we'll see where this goes.
This is the first concept image I worked up for this concept of a throne of ancient technology. I'm imaging this throne is still relatively untouched as the work around it is decaying and returning to nature.
