The challenge re-occurs every month :) Though it seems this month many ppl will have to extend the deadline. @garriola83 Thanks a lot for the visual. I am starting to straighten up his face planes, so far it looks better. Also pushing in some parts of his face as well.
Small Update Playable in browser at: oskarstalberg.com/game/hovertank09/index.html Update - Start Menu - Pause (press P or Pause) - Graph of score progression (shown when paused) - Some minor things - Extended the level design to have content troughout the level Todo - Death, upgrades, or a new enemy
Some unsolicitied ideas from me for future projects: - Make a plugin for Photoshop that shows the image tiling outside of the canvas area! - Create a plugin that enables projection painting in CS3 Extended - they've got awesome brushes and a 3D viewer in the same program, but you can't use one on the other.
Family is first, wife and three kids, then extended fam. I also try to contribute to forums like these, which I consider as much a community as any physical one. oXYnary, you started the thread but didn't mention what you do? You seem like an activist kinda guy.
Why not spend like $10 on some bellows and a mount and get a Midnight Chinese Special? Everything is properly mounted and you can extend/pan/pull and track with .01mm accuracy. Go to the hardware store and swap the bellows adjustment wheel with a larger one (for more precise movement) for $5 more.
Do it Funky B! I iz to lazy :poly142: jez copy paste the code. hacking a maya command( constraints ) solution is almost always faster than mel math ( time to learn py ). Aligning objects is not expensive but if u extend to components interpreted mel math may be slow.
I guess "industry" only extends to consoles with retail sales? Or is it that PC is such a small chunk now that its easily overshadowed? I thought WoW and Warhammer Online would have made stronger showings... It won't be so pretty when people start pawning their consoles and PC's to make rent.
Almost wanna call this high poly done, might do some last minute edits to add more detail later on. This first pic is of his whip's handle since I can't have him without it, whip part simply just an extended cylinder so nothing really to show there.
Blender 2.8 has been great so far. I came from both Max and Maya and I've finished a few production assets with 2.8 now. There are two features that are a bit lacking (extend edges + undo in large scenes) but otherwise it's been great. Really excited to see 2.81 forwards.
Technically using OpenGL4 or DirectX12 and Bindless Resources, you can push milions of draw calls in miliseconds. Since with bindless model you are no longer limited by CPU speed. GPU binds resources on it's own (in OpenGL it's only for textures, I dunno if this has been extended to support geometry data as well).
